Irrigation & Water
Management

Even the most drought-tolerant plants need help to get established. We design efficient, precise systems to solve your watering needs. We offer design and installation of new systems, efficiency retrofits of old systems, and system management & repairs for:
Drip & overhead spray irrigation
Drip irrigation is the most efficient system for delivering water to you garden or lawn. Drip systems can reduce water usage by up to half when compared to sprayers. Smart controllers can help you to deliver the right amount of water at the right time, minimize consumption and help your garden thrive.
Small-scale dry wells
Capturing rainfall and redistributing it into the ground beneath your garden is an eco-friendly way to keep your plants hydrated. Water capture can help with erosion and runoff problems, too.
Gravity-fed systems
We install rain barrels to collect rainwater from roof runoff. This can be redistributed through decorative dry streams, through plastic tubing, or by hand to your plants.
Rain gardens
Constructing shallow swales, or ponding areas, can collect rain runoff to naturally water your soils, reduce erosion, and protect waterways from excessive runoff. These are eco-friendly, and beautiful gardens that can also be used to introduce a wider variety of plantings into your garden.
Temporary watering
Xeriscaped gardens are designed so that they need no supplemental irrigation from your household water supply after plants are established. However, new plants usually need supplemental water to thrive and sometimes to survive. Hose timers and a good plan will get your garden established, even if long term irrigation is not needed.
